How to deal with being unlucky.
Losing due to bad luck is frustrating. Everyone has experienced losing to bad luck, the same way everyone has experienced winning from good luck. However, the bad feeling that we get from losing feels a lot stronger and more memorable than the good feeling we get from winning. The more we feel bad about how our games turn out the more likely we are to tilt, and tilting causes us to make it harder for us to make good decisions and easier to make worse ones. Therefore, it is crucial that we don't get emotional over what happens in our Hearthstone games.
One method of dealing with bad luck is to look at the game objectively, from a 3rd person point of view. This way, we can look purely at the decisions that are being made rather than focusing on how we feel at certain points throughout the game. This detachment of emotions will allow us to see whether we are making optimal decisions or not, and if we are not, we have now found something that we can fix and improve on in our next games.
Another method is to look at the bigger picture. Even someone who plays Hearthstone perfectly will not have a win rate of 100%, and that's because they will also have bad draws and bad RNG in many of their games. Our job as players who want to hit legend is not to win every single game that we play, but to maximize the percentage of games that we win throughout our climb.
Remembering these two methods of dealing with bad luck will not only help you significantly in your climb to legend, but also help you in keeping a cool head in tough, unexpected situations.
